Price: Prices of the Kia Carens range from Rs 10.45 lakh and Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India).
Variants: Kia offers it in six broad variants: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, Luxury (O) and Luxury Plus.
Seating Capacity: The Kia MPV can be had in both 6- and 7-seater configurations.
Colours: You can buy it in eight monotone colours: Imperial Blue, Moss Brown, Sparkling Silver, Intense Red, Glacier White Pearl, Clear White, Gravity Grey and Aurora Black Pearl.
Boot Space: It has a boot capacity of up to 216 litres.
Engine And Transmission: The Carens gets three engine choices: a 1.5-litre petrol (115PS/144Nm) paired with a 6-speed manual, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (160PS/253Nm) mated to either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic), and a 1.5-litre diesel (115PS/250Nm) which comes with an iMT gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Features: Features on board the Carens include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digitised instrument cluster, cruise control and electric one-touch folding second-row seats. It also gets ambient lighting in 64 colours, ventilated front seats and a single-pane sunroof.
Safety: Passenger safety is ensured by six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC) and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Rivals: The Kia Carens squares off against the Maruti Ertiga and XL6. It can also be regarded as an affordable alternative to the Toyota Innova Hycross, Innova Crysta and Maruti Invicto.
